What is OPA?
OPA is a not-for-profit statewide professional organization comprised of Oregon psychologists that advocates for psychologists on local, state and national issues affecting both the profession and the world we live in. OPA functions through the active volunteer work of our membership.
What Does OPA Do?
- Promotes psychology.
- Organizes continuing education workshops, town halls across the state, mock orals for help with licensure, and a conference to meet the continuing education needs of the membership.
- Publishes a bi-monthly newsletter called the Oregon Psychologist Bulletin that updates members on opportunities, events and issues affecting psychologists.
- Advocates for legislation that affects the practice of psychology.
- Creates opportunities for professional and peer interaction and networking.
- Protects consumers and educates members through ethics.
- Offers a listing of psychologists as a resource for consumers under our Find a Psychologist section of this website.
